God is generous—and therefore—so are we! That’s one of our core values here at Westside.

Each of us has an opportunity for growth in this season of Unshakeable. For some, it’s committing and taking a big step for the first time. Others are praying about how to finish strong in a season of high inflation or whether to increase their original commitment.  

We are all challenged to hear and step forward with the first and best gift God wants us to honor him with.

November 19th is commitment Sunday when we’ll celebrate our Unshakeable commitments together. God is on the move, Westside. It’s good to be in this together.  

Over the past year, our Students have enthusiastically embraced the Unshakeable vision. It resonates deeply with them as they observe and experience the mental health crisis facing their peers on a daily basis. These kids also “get” the importance of pouring into others through generosity, service, and sharing the love of Jesus with a lost world.

Last year, our Students made a one-year Unshakeable commitment. This November 15 they will have the opportunity to do that again as they lead Westside with their commitments on Student Commitment Night.

Join in to celebrate and kickoff our second year of Unshakeable with national recording artist, Austin French. We’ll enjoy a special time of worship and prayer and we’ll gather to pray over the property where our Westside Family Care Center will be built.

November 13 • During Kids Programming • All Services

To commit to something means “to pledge to do something that you believe in” or to “give because you trust.” During the Unshakeable series, Kids Ministry is talking about being unshakeable in following Jesus, trusting Him, putting Him first, giving my all to Him, believing in Him, and committing to Him.

We are learning that God gives generously to us, so we should give generously to others.

Kids, what are ways YOU can commit to being generous? To be generous means “to freely give something with a happy heart.” You can give your time, stuff, money, talents, etc. Think it through and come ready to make your commitment on November 13.

This is an opportunity for ANYONE who is ready to LEAD OUT with your commitment early to join us for a powerful night of worship, testimony, prayer, and creative elements that our team has been working really hard on putting together. It’s going to be one of those nights you won’t want to miss, and I truly believe it will be a historic night. So make plans to join us Friday, November 4 at 6:30p at our WFC Lenexa, and be praying about what God will have you do. Anyone and everyone who is ready to commit—we can't wait to see you there. God has big plans in store for us, Westside family!
